This is my homepage. A lot about cats, a little
about me, something about my other interests.
Should you be curious about my looks, I can offer
photographic documentation.
I am a 60 year old computer consultant living in Lund, a town in Southern Sweden,
and to quite recently working with data warehouses.
My personal road to the Web has been a rough and winding one. Originally
I was a typical mainframe geek (There Is No Language But COBOL
And PC Is A Toy, etc.) but now I've begun to see the light; C++, web
access and so on. And last but not least - Cats.
My first cat was
Gottfrid Gustavsson - a tabby-patterned moggie who came to me during the
summer of 1985. The bravest of cats - was neither afraid of the vacuum
cleaner nor my neighbour´s Alsatian (he beat it up!). Unfortunately I had to put him
down early 1997 due to an autoimmune intestinal disease, defying all treatment. I miss him much.
Then came Simon - a half-Abby who after just half a year escaped from a temporary
care-giver during a business trip of mine, never to be heard from again.
My present cats are Nils, my large and dignified quarter-Persian, and the black mix of Persian, Maine Coon, and domestic cat Sixten. Nils and Sixten have their
own site -
feel free to visit it!
Another of my intrests is oil painting. I have collected four of my works on this page, to whatever benefit it may be.
Do you want to look at my hometown?
I have gathered some photos of it here, altogether fifty pictures,
divided on thirteen pages. Enjoy!
Bill Gates, however, I don't like. But who does?
Most of the pictures on these pages are taken with a Konica Q-M100V
digital camera. This came with an instruction manual. I haven´t
the heart to withhold some of it´s advice
from you. (I particularily enjoyed the phrase "serial injury" - is that something you could expect from a Ted Bundy or a Jeffrey Dahmer?)
I can offer you a page with tie information. It's mostly links; if you don't
know how to tie a Shelby or an Ascot, then this is the page for you!
However, I have now also included a page with pictures of my most beloved ties.
I am a member of
The Swedish Society for Nature Conservation (SSNC)
and Mensa Sweden
.
You will find more links here, on my link page.
Do visit it! It's a motley crowd of jokes and seriousness. Hope the mixture is digestible!
Besides, I think that Ursula LeGuin should get the Nobel price in Litterature.
